It might be hard to multiply 39.99 x 5.

But since 39.99 is 1 penny less then 40.00, and 40.00 x 5 is easy to work out, the math is very simple. 40 x5 = 200, less the .01 x 5 = 199.95.

You can use this technique for whatever.

49 x 14 = ??

49 = (50 - 1)
50 x 14 = 700 and -1 x 14 = -14.
700 - 14 = 686.





Kind of off topic, but here's a fun way to work that out.

14 x 49.

Pick a reference number close to 14.
I'll go with 10.
And pick a reference number close to 49, that is a multiple of our first reference number, I'll go with 50.

Write the equation like this:

(10 x 5) 14 x 49



Now the 14 is how far above or below 10?
4 above.
So we right 4 above the 14.

........... +4
(10 x 5) 14 x 49



And the 49 is how far above of below 50?
1 below.
So we right -1 under the 49.

........... +4
(10 x 5) 14 x 49
................... -1



Now we take our first number, the +4, and multiply it by the x5 reference number.
This gets us:

......... +20
(10 x 5) 14 x 49
................... -1



Now we add the +20 to 49, which gets us 69.
We have 69 of the first reference number... 69 tens.
So 690 is the first part of the answer.



The second part is +4 x -1 = -4.
So we have 690 - 4 = 686.

one more thing am looking into beta and the fights of the new dundons/raid blizzard makeing a lot the new quests/dungons have a lot off moveing looting x itam stuff that olny one your char can see in the game would (love event + boss)


this is how they look at multiboxing its great but if they made it to easy to done (now software makeing it easyer to box no need for exta pc's) then the hole of wow would be multiboxing think about it really it be bad it be 100$ to play a single player game i love it but do not think the hole would sould do it think it ware to thin if each time i look about all i see if multiboxers.
