Heroics take more movement and you won't be able to easily outgear them easily for awhile.

Some boxers in the beta were saying they are quitting PvE because it's too hard for them... However it seems there is a stupid easy way to macro procs and abilities with cds now so they might change their tune.

If you can do the ICC 5 mans, I don't think the new heroics should be too bad. I personally look forward to the challenge.

It is probably hoping too much, but it would be very nice if heroics scaled against average gear level, starting at a minimum higher then what is needed for the level 85 normal dungeons.

The Burning Crusade progression was something like: do the normal dungeons, including the level 70 dungeons on normal, along with all the high reward quest chains, so you get gear which allows you to start heroics. Then do the easier heroics, for gear which opens the harder heroics and allows you to start Karazhan. Gradually move to the harder heroics, along will other T4 raids like Gruul's Lair and Magtheridon's Lair.

It looks like Cataclysm heroics will be impossible, in fresh to 85 gear... which is a good thing. We'll run the 80-85 dungeons, to get gear which will allow us to do heroics.

I'd like it, if heroics would scale in difficulty with gear, so as your average item level (across the team) went up, the mobs would hit harder/faster or have more health etc. But only if the rewards would scale as well. So you'd earn current gear from heroics, and they'd be challenging but doable even at later in the expansion gear levels.

As it is, we won't outgear heroics for quite a while. So they'll be quite challenging initially. But by the time Justice Points gets you a gear level better then heroics drop/require, heroics will become trivial... but still be farmed constantly for the Justice Points, which get you gear almost as good as the current raid gear.

As long as they are not all Devourer of Souls and Ick & Krick from start to finish (don't get me wrong I can do those 3 instances... not bragging, cuz I know tons of boxers have done them, but they are really difficult compared to DK, UK and HoS)

I like the progression now, granted I started in May/10 near the end of Wotlk, when you could buy Triumph gear from heroic emblems. So I might be in for a rude awakening.

I only solo boxed BC, but I remember heroics, pugs would just avoid. Shattered Halls, Auchenai Crypts and Sethek Halls. But Ramps, the Underbog, Slave Pens and SV were fairly farmable early on, so you'd try to run those every day to get the badges. But you could gear up in hopes of being able to do the harder ones. I do like that.

Now that all the old Frost gear can be purchased fairly easily, it's like Blizzard is signalling the end of WoTlk, but I'm still tempted to buy all the T10 pieces, just to say I had the complete set on my main team. Maybe make it so I can breeze through HoR
