| So is phasing in that much more areas of the world? Like everywhere? I've been making videos of solo play so I haven't really seen it, maybe because it is solo so much. |

| It is annoying, but so far through all of Hyjal and most of Vashj'ir, it is not even half as rampant as say Icecrown was. But I'm taking the expansion very casually, and am bouncing between four teams rather than racing with one... so a later zone might be worse. In Vashj'ir, heading out of the various underwater caves with quest givers... the follow breaks in the tunnel leading in/out. Jamba notifies that follow has broken. Press/Hold my slave independent movement key for forward, for 2-3 seconds, and the slaves cross the phase line. Then hit my follow key, and continue playing. Not an issue really.

| Would be really nice to see a graphical map of all the phased zone lines in WoW now. I wonder if a site has already done it? |

| Yeah, thats what i was thinking tim. But i think i'll get that boxing addon pack Ualaa is talking about, that will help keep me notified. I got all excited getting my last two accounts and now since i'm running my two new toons through instances mostly in eastern kingdoms (silverpine forest, east and western plague lands) i've noticed the phasing in those areas too, from undercity to SM theres at least 5 different transitions, its a pain! |

| Yea I've heard a lot of great things about Jamba, and the author regularly posts on this site. I'm going to be using it myself for my next multiboxing team, in fact, my whole next multiboxing project. So the phasing is everywhere it sounds like? Does this mean random people can't meet up with other random people? Sort of takes away the "massive" from the MMO, right? |

| If you group with someone, you'll be in the phase of the least progressed person in the party, so you'll be able to interact and such. But other people such as Death Knights or Worgen (probably Goblin too) that have not left their starting area are phased such that you cannot see them to group with. If they're already in a different phase, then you cannot group with them to begin with. Not sure if /Invite Person would work all the time, some of the time or none of the time, when in different phases.

| Its more the crossing over the different phase lines that takes away the follow since the leader enters first, then the slaves stop moving, thus not crossing over the line, unless you move them over manually or slowly cross the line so everyone goes at once, which is how i usually reacquire my team. But yes, it does take the Massive out of MMO if you can't group with people in different phases. Guess each group needs to do all the quests in said area so they are in the right phase. |

| Yea I think it would be great if somebody could figure out a big ass map and draw the phase lines wherever they exist. Would be a great resource. |

| Having mapped keys for "others move", is pretty basic. Your lead toon moves, with the others on follow. You cross the phase line, and follow breaks. Jamba spams your screen with a follow broken message. You press your hotkey for "others move forward", until they also cross the phase line. You press your Follow the Leader hotkey. And resume driving with the main. Doesn't matter where the phase line is. The procedure is the simplistic and the same each time. Takes maybe 10 seconds extra, if even that long. I'd be interested in looking at a phased map, from a curiosity point of view. But it's not a big deal really. Take something like Icecrown, where I was running dailies on three teams every day. You quickly learn where the phase lines are, and they don't even slow you down -- Numlock (Auto Leader Run), and press Up Arrow (which is my slaves only move forward key), and after the phase line (in which no one stopped), press my mouse thumb button for follow the leader. For questing, there are too many places with phase lines to learn them all. And once you're maximum level, you deal with a few often enough to learn them. But most are never encountered ever again.

| Yup I agree, having the keys mapped to make your team move is pretty crucial. Myself, I use my arrow keys. Forward makes all my people move forward, back is back. Left makes them all strafe left, and right is right. It looks like I'll be using the forward key a lot more when I start boxing my new teams ![]() WTB image of each world map on where phasing lines exist! |
