Very cool, so you find he is really hard for your group? Is there something in particular that makes this boss so hard?

I really would LOVE to try this on my new Pally team, but unfortunately they are level 42 How long will this event last do you think?

From what I've seen, stay away from him in Phase 1 and just take out the adds as they spawn. When you see the ice spikes, move out of the way so you aren't launched.

When Phase 2 begins, DPS the hell out of him. Hopefully you can finish him off. If not, get ready for another phase of ads (more than the 1st) and spikes, then finish him off on the next.

This is all based on the YouTube videos I've watched. Haven't tried it myself.

I did him yesterday and he is the second biggest joke of a heroic boss only to the last of Drak Tharon. This fight may be hard for melee MB

For casters just roll right in and have them like 30 yards away and use the tank to summon... There are no phases, the summons happen on a timer and he shifts between ragnaros state and frozen core. Just all out dps on boss from beginning and kill ice elem when spawned.

He does almost no dmg and doesn't need to be tanked. The water elementals were all on my druid for about 30 seconds before he was even at 30%. 3x healing stream takes care of their dmg and they wont even scratch a tank. Whenever the core is not exposed he knocks back melee so my paladin just sat back and chilled the whole fight. I just dropped my totems and manually moved my guys within casting range when knocked back. The rock(ice) elementals he spawned may do dmg, but I killed them right away when they spawned so I don't know. The only difficult part of this fight is manually walking your guys back in range. If you are using melee dps this is going to be annoying because I think you can only attack when the core is exposed.

This is a fight for fun and for 2x frost and gold and chance at pet. All of the loot is 2 tiers down.
