If she has teh aids, slam that taxi door and bolt. Asap.

The best way to protect you is to install free vmware/virtual PC, and run an operating system inside of it with a web browser and take frequent snapshos/rollbacks. Then do all your web browsing from there. BAM - You now have an incredibly safe and secure way to browse the web.

He'll I just pull out forget condoms! Jk

Well to compound your security on top of a virtual machine would be not to let yourself get infected. Don't click on banners, don't click on links in email from fake blizzard (create a secure email that is only for logging in. Have remember login enabled so Trojans don't see you typing that in should you get one anyway), and always use caution when playing. Notice a fake blizzard GM whisper when it comes in. Blizzard has the nice blue logo on it.

You don't have to click on a banner to get infected unfortunately. You merely have to see it. There are a host of ways to infect you without you doing anything but merely visiting a website.

Truly the best way is to have a virtual machine dedicated to web browsing.

It used to be, a code was valid at 13 minutes but no longer valid at 14 minutes.
That was when they first introduced the authenticator, and for approximately the first year or so.

They've increased their authenticator security, if you want to call it that.
By making the codes expire a lot sooner than previous.

Not saying anything is totally secure.

But go with Firefox + NoScript +Adblock.
Don't visit questionable sites.
Don't click on email links, unless you're sure they're legitimate (show full headers); even then you're better off typing the URL yourself.

Then good thing I block banners from being seen in the first place with Adblock Plus. That and NoScript. Both of which are available for Firefox and Chrome, and I'm sure other browsers. So you stop the point of entry to your system by shutting the door in the first place. Either case we seem to have veered from the topic which is the change to the authenticator. I like it.

I have seen something similar in the past when I first got my laptop. I went to log into my accounts and had to change my password 5 times cause blizzard noticed a change in my login pattern. I even had an authenticator enabled as usual. So if infact a hacker managed to get a hold of all that information, they would have been blocked cause their system is not my system. They, like what I saw, would have had to log into my e-mail, click on the link to change my password, which you need the SN of the box copies of wow, or my secret answer to my secret question, then change the password, 5 times, one for each wow account. I had to do this too when I re-installed windows, and likewise I had to rebind pwnboxer to my computer cause of the unique computer ID key.

I know, whoever has an authenticator here, put up your hand if you've been hacked while using an authenticator. I'd like to see the stats on that. Hell with claims and nay-saying about their effectiveness. Lets see some results of people who have actually been compromised

I've got one, for 2 years now, played wow for 2,5 before that without it. Not once been hacked.

The thing is, when i reinstalled my pc it asked for my code again. So its based of more then just IP and mac adress, which makes me think that this isnt as bad as i thought.

BUT.. big point here.. i payed for the extra security of a 1 minute code, EVERY time i log into battle.net, WoW Remote, or WoW. Let me atleast have that security then. Sure IF they get me keylogged they'll get in, but it makes me atleast feel like it'll be for one time ONLY.. (since i would figure out they blocked my logging in) instead now they get unlimited access from that location for a while, since that location will be validated by blizzard...
