Default Another New Boxer...

Greetings,

I recently returned to attempting to multi-box. I have tried it before but was struggling with my system to handle the 3 to 4 accounts. I activated two trial accounts via recruit a friend and have given it another try. My four shaman are steaming along questing (hate gathering ones) and are being united in their casting and targetting. Some of my issues with recruit a friend are that my main account and one other is gaining good XPs but another RAF account isn't. Additionally, even though I have paid for a two basic WOW account upgrades the accounts are still being tracked as trial ones. Do I have to wait for the 10 day period to drop off?

Finally, I already have an 81 Shaman on my main account does it make sense to activate another account as a RAF. Trying to figure out what benefits I get besides being able to grind up more toons at the same time or saving some money from not having to transfer a character from one account to another.

As long as your sub account are within 4 levels of the main other, the XP will be 300%. This way you can't really ever go slow. So if your main is 50 and your alt is 20, your alt will level 300% but your main only 100%.

One of my issues is that two of my shaman zoomed to 14 and the other two are at 9... wierd. So I might have to do some grinding with those two to get them back in sync.

Are you gathering with your higher level toons? The XP gained is a boon to single players, but can cause level staggering for Multiboxers.

Yeah I am grouped with them. I think I somehow didn't get the RAF set right at the outset.

Not too concerned about it as I am questing at the lowest level toon level to get rep for now. But I have a new concern. I DLed Jamba. How do I set the initial /follow hot button? Great mod but I am stumped. Guess I can tackle it in a bit and doing some research on the interweb.

You need to be grouped with a toon on the linked account.
Be within a certain physical proximity to that toon.
Be within 4 levels of the toon.
Both of you to be 59th or lower.
The mob/quest to not be grey to either of you.

If you link A - B - C...
Even if A-B miss an RAF requirement, as long as B-C is valid B would get RAF.

I found with RAF, I would upgrade spells/abilities every ten levels or so.
It wasn't an issue killing level 50 mobs with five level 48's using level 40 spells.
And with the spell changes, one rank only... aside from critical spells for your spec, this is even more true.

If one account is not gaining RAF.
Are you sure it is linked to another account?
You could be A > B and C > D.
That gets granted levels on A and C.
Extra toons basically, or you could do transfers if cash isn't an issue.

I would recommend calling billing.
Getting your RAF chain something like A > B > C > D.
Because, after your first set of toons is upper 60's (do some Hellfire/Zangamarsh/Terrokar/Nagrand), take a toon on A and use it to "boost" toons on BCD.
You can get a ton of toons to 60th, during RAF with a booster.

Boosting is taking your toons and grouping them all together.
Quest to 10th or so.
And then do dungeons, where the lowbies stay near zone in.
And the booster kills tons of easy mobs quickly.
While the exp per mob sucks for the lowbies.
Clearing all of Scarlet Monastery in 6 minutes and doing it five times an hour (plus armory five times an hour), can take your lowbies from 20th to 44th in an afternoon.

question, since when can trials not start parties, I just wasted an RAF to start a test dualboxing team and I can't benefit from 300% xp. Thats just some bull.

anywho, until I get a job I'll probably be using HotKeyNet, the only thing I hate about it is that the sample file script is missing every single important thing for WoW evar. And eventually I'll setup mouse broadcasting correctly. that is all.

Yeah I somehow jacked up my RAF. I will see if I can resolve it today. Additionally I will probably activate my 5th account and RAF it to one of the accounts I knew was lacking RAF (my Son's) ... I can always boost with my prot pally through the instances... and I love single pulling SM.

I have to admit the mobile banking x 5 is a boon to boxers... now we can loot everything and vendor it later via bank tabs and such.

I downloaded Jamba. How do I set the initial /follow hot button? Great mod but I am stumped. I was doing that on my 3 warlock team and couldn't get the follow to kick off... but I did have some added distractions in background.

Hey Dees,

I haven't been up to date on the banking stuff. Could you explain how its helpful to you and how you use it?

Cheers!

The mobile banking is a guild perk (based on guild level) or from being a goblin. Basically every hour you can access your bank from anywhere in the WOW world. So if you are grinding instances you can loot alot of the greys and then at teh end of the instance dump them into the bank, reset instance and run it again... then on the next toon do it again. After the end of the grinding session you log to an alt vendor all the greys, AH the cloth, DE the greens and AH mats. So better chance to make money as you level through cloth rich environments.

My current guild is a level 11 or 12 guild so I get more rep and bonus XPs as well based off of the guild perks so.
