| Focused burst, would have to be Elemental Shamans. That's not AoE burst like you asked, but they have more controlled burst than anyone else by a large margin. Balance Druids probably have the most AoE power, between Hurricane, Starfall, Force of Nature, Stealth until they want to unleash the burst, Typhoon, etc. Starfall is extremely sickening, in a good way, but it is on a cooldown. Druids can Stealth past a group that they could not take, find some cover, Starfall and Shadowmeld. With a bit of cover, they can Hurricane. Force of Nature (Treants) can be cast, and then they act on their own. They also have a lot of mobility, between Cat Form/Travel Form and Dash + Stampeding Roar. Also with Solar Beam and instant cast Root, they can prevent people from escaping their AoE. Chances are the highest burst AoE are Frost Death Knights. Unlike every other AoE power in the game, Howling Blast is not AoE capped. Meaning, if 500 players were stacked on top of each other, you'd hit each one as hard as you would hit a single target. For an opener, you go with Blood Tap which converts a Blood Rune into a Death Rune, giving you three Frost Runes or three Howling Blasts to open with. After that, you click Runic Empowerment, which refreshes everything. Two more Howling Blasts in rapid succession (Unholy Stance, for 1.0 second GCD's), and if 5 HB's in six seconds (assuming Blood Tap before the first HB) doesn't kill them, they'll be weakened. Frost Strike is the majority of the damage to single targets, HB just softens the opposition up, especially when you do this with four DK's. |

| This is how I'm prioritizing my Frost DK's. I am essentially spamming (rapidly, in sequence) seven abilities. The earlier abilities have a greater chance to fire off, than the later abilities. The abilities that are placed more often, have a greater chance to fire off too simply because of the weighted odds. Anyway. I push the "1" key, and in sequence get: 1, Shift F6, Shift F7, Shift F8, Alt F6, Alt F7, and Alt F8, and then it wraps back to the first ability. I spam the crap out of my "1" key, probably 4-5 presses per second. Not as controlled as the click castsequence, but still two methods to weigh what fires off somewhat randomly. My system includes FTL targeting, so assume all the melee auto assist whatever the "Healer" is targeting, including occasional IWT to keep them on target. Or I just Death Grip things to them... On the keys, I have: 1: #show Howling Blast /cast Howling Blast /use 13 /use 14 Sh F6: Howling Blast (From wow spell book) Sh F7: Frost Strike (From wow spell book) Sh F8: Frost Strike (From wow spell book) Alt F6: Plague Strike (From wow spell book; will be Necrotic Strike in two levels) Alt F7: Blood Strike (From wow spell book) Alt F8: Hungering Cold (From wow spell book) Play is basically run with the Healer (I'm using a Disc Priest), DK's on follow. Find something and Spam IWT & "1". Then use a few hotkeys for the DK cooldowns I care about: Anti-Magic Shell, Icebound Fortitude, Lichborne, Pillar of Frost, etc. And heal via a Repeater Region. So far, I've set up: Penance, Flash Heal, Heal, Greater Heal, Prayer of Healing, and Pain Suppression... and have three keys for direct healing: Renew, Flash Heal and Greater Heal. |
