| Ok, hello. First post n all. I have had a quick look about and cant find anything that doesnt do more than vaguely answer my question or isnt possibly out of date by now so here goes. I hope someone can give me advice or info. The scenario i plan to carry out is: I have a wow & Battle.net account. As does my friend, "amir". I want to refer a friend to WoW using another email address he holds. He then accepts, giving us both triple XP and the rocket mount & month free (or whatever the current offer is). He then pays for one month's subscription. during which we level together & he could even bring along a char from his original/main account. After that, he merges his new character into his current wow account. 1. Is it possible to merge characters from 2 into 1 wow account (regardless of battle.net) so he is only paying 1 subscription. - Ok so ive verified this is possible (unless someone suggests otherwise) 2. Does anybody know of any reason this wouldnt work? has blizzard put anything in place to prevent this fast/cheap levelling method? 3. Would my friend need to buy any of the expansions before transferring his char to his main account (he has cataclysm on main) or would he only need to exit the trial period before moving the char? 4. So projected costs would be Trial - Free, one month free each, £15 character transfer fee. (which we could split) Ta Thanks all. Last edited by blacklight124; 01-12-2011 at 06:52 AM. |

| I believe you can have up to eight accounts (warcraft accounts) on one battle net account (email). You can send an invite to any email you like, including your own. Any given account can have five unanswered invites out at any time. Something like a week or ten days after an invite is sent, it expires and you can send another in its place. Also, if your friend (or you) accept your invite, that refreshes it so you can send another. If multiple accounts are on the same battle net account, you can immediately transfer toons from one to another. If they're on separate battle net accounts, you can still transfer but not until 30 days have passed after adding the account. In either case, the names on both accounts have to be the same. Blizzard is more than happy to have you create additional accounts. RAF is faster leveling, but not really cheaper. When you pay for the first month of RAF (on the new account) the existing (referring) account receives one month free. When you pay for the second month, the existing account gets the free mount. RAF lasts for three months, but you don't get anything besides play time when you pay for the third month. At a minimum, you would need Classic Warcraft (the original/vanilla game) purchased to take advantage of RAF. If you have the space on one account, you could certainly transfer characters from another account onto it, subject to the limitations above. If a character is over 60th, the receiving account would need to have Burning Crusade. If a character is over 70th, it would need Wrath of the Lich King. If it were over 80th, it would need Cataclysm.

| It is often a good idea to use a spambot email system for your battle.net email accounts. This way not only can you do unlimited email addresses but you can also see specifically which email accounts are sold by Blizzard for marketing purposes. A spambot account is essentially an account that you create for a single email "transaction" from which you can track who is selling your information. For example, if I use timaccount1@spambot.timdomain.com and only use it to register a battlenet account, and suddenly I start receiving emails from Nvidia to that address to buy video cards, then I can reliably state that Blizzard sold my information to Nvidia. There are a lot of spambot email services for free or near free, and if you use a domain, Godaddy will give you free unlimited email account forwards for that domain, something easy to set up in Gmail for free. So yea ![]() The real question/issue becomes one of how you are tying the authenticator to your bnet accounts. |

| Hey, Thanks for all the info ![]() So i reckon i'd be looking at.. £8.99 x 2 months = £17.98 £15.99 for transfer -1 month free £8.99 = £24.98 & split it between the 2 of us = £12.49. Not too bad to get a good boost to lvl 60 with a new 2 seat mount at the end. Ta |
