Hi guys and gals, can someone point me in the right direction as to which classes to pick to multibox end game Heroics with . I am looking for 2 class types and its for PvE only. Looking to get some Heroics done when I am maxed out. I have tried 5 shamans up to lvl 25 , 1 priest and 4 hunters up to lvl 55 , was wondering if there are better class combos so I can farm some Heroics at 80 .

If you're only doing two class types, the best combination will be Prot Paladin tank with four Shamans. Ideally 3x Elemental and 1x dual spec Elemental & Resto. A stronger combination for PvE would be to drop 1x Elemental and replace them with a Destruction Warlock (for the 13% spell power buff), and to go with a Discipline Priest for your healer. If you don't like the warlock, a boomkin (if you manage the Eclipse procs) can serve as well, or you can go with an Unholy Deathknight instead of the Paladin; any one of the three gets your 13% spell power buff. I usually recommend the Paladin, because they are incredibly easy to macro, with a spammable 96969 castsequence. Pretty much the strongest AoE (passive) threat of any tank, with more then enough single target threat; they're the top AoE tank by a large margin. Pretty much spam your hotkey (96969 macro and dps click macro's on the same key), and all you worry about is group positioning, paladin facing and heals. A Feral Druid or Death Knight, will put out more damage (particularly once you get quite geared) but they will be much harder to keep alive when starting... and will never have as much threat on secondary targets as a Paladin. A Warrior is initially the hardest/worst tank of the four, but with a lot of gear is similar to a Paladin -- high threat, high survivability, lower dps. As far as heals go, a resto druid is not a bad choice, but the only healer I'd even consider over a discipline priest would be a resto shaman, and then only if you did not have another shammy in the party for bloodlust/heroism. My vote for the "best" heroic/PvE team is 1x Destruction Warlock, 2x Elem. Shaman, 1x Prot Paladin and 1x Disc Priest. But its worth noting, WotLK heroics aren't that challenging, and almost any composition of 1x Tank, 1x Healer and 3x DPS can do them. A Feral or Paladin can even do heroics without a healer, once they outgear the instance a fair bit.

The mage adds flexibility for ports/water, but when boxed is a dps loss compared to a boxed shaman... solo, arcane or fire is as good as a shaman, but not when using macros for your dps. The boomkin is great, if you're going to manage Eclipse procs. And again it brings utility such as battle rez, innervate, extra buffs etc. But if you already have the 13% spell power buff, it does not increase your group damage at all, over a shaman. And then you need to manage Eclipse procs. If you want 5x different classes, that's a preference call, but I'll stand by the best PvE group from the perspective of heroics/progression is: 1x Prot Paladin Tank, 1x Destruction Warlock (13% SP Buff), 2x Elem. Shaman and 1x Disc Priest. Everything is one-button spam ease with optimal DPS; no Eclipse to manage. All you need to do is position your toons, spam a single key, move/face the mob with the tank and heal. I'd think more toons might be fun, but they won't add more dps/power to the team, and adding another toon will either lower dps (making it less optimal) or keep the dps about the same, but make it harder to kill things (more things to click, watch, manage). But go with whatever you find to be the most fun. Otherwise, what is the point in playing?

Thanks for the great replies, I am just going to get along with 5 shamans for now , totems are a bit of a pain atm , lvl 26 :/ Going to take them up to lvl 40 and see how they go . I may then swop one for a lvl 40 pally i have . Also got a lvl 73 druid so if I ever get that far I may try a druid instead of pally too , we shall see.

I remember when I used to play 10x Star Wars Galaxies games at once. I multiboxed the hell out of that game. Eventually I realized the game was akin to working and just dumped it altogether. It wasn't fun ;/ | |
