You can go to Be Imba! - the online Character Auditor for World of Warcraft
This site can check your gear and see what u should get more of and where you should perform well with your character. Also checks if you socket and enchant your gear properly. It fetches the data from armory.

NB.
It only checks for PvE not PvP.

Gear Score is an example of a very cool mod, which is being used in a crappy way.

On my server, people don't want you for PUG's unless you have a high gear score.
Just about every time, they want enough gear that the content is trivial.

You can mess with Gear Score by equipping PvP gear.
Which has a high score, but is really sub-par for raids.
And it ignores gems and enchants (the addon), although the web site version can take this into account.

I'm actually quite tempted to pick up a full badge set of cloth healer gear.
For a tank class.
We can easily farm 20+ conquest badges in an afternoon.
And in 3.3 it will be triumph badges.
Could end up with a high enough gear score to run ToC 25.
But the gear would not be even close.
