leveling xp issues

maybe im doing something wrong here but i dont think so.

i ran my level 10 pally through deadmines lastnight along.
with another person playing he/she was playing a priest.
i was using my level 77 dk to get the pally to ding and it didnt happen.
he was probily 5% into level 10 and i figured he whould have atleast dinged.
i was getting about 16xp per kill and on bosses 30xp. this was for the pally now the other person that was along he/she dinged. i atleast thought i should have dinged as well or am i just worng ?

ive done RAF but i know it stops at level 60

i thought with my dk the pally should get more experiance and i was partied up i dunno it seems. like when i run randoms with the dk hes not even getting the right experiance also.

when you boost a low level in a low level instance with a higher character, the XP you get is reduced massivly, the idea is that with the triple XP from RAF you increase that small XP gain to something a bit mre respectable. but the characters have to be within like 3 levels of each other to recieve triple xp

ok that explains that i was playing around just now with my 11 pally an 10 warrior. quested them together was getting some good xp and leveld both an was able. to grant the warrior a level.

what im trying to do is get the pally to level as quickly as possible.

thanks for the info guess ill use my 55 hunter or 33 mage to run the pally.

just got to get some good macros set up still stuck on that

Just get someone else's 80 to run you through. I got 4 guys to 80 in two weeks and 60 in a day and a half. Two days from 60-70. As long as they are linked you get good xp. I did 1 80 and 3 noobs and they got 1-2 levels per run depending on instance. Just pay someone gold or something to do it if you are trying to hit 80 fast.

Some people enjoy lvling. I hate it and only care about endgame so I mindlessly grind up asap.

yeah ive got a 77 dk and i guess because hes not 80 i was not getting much xp. but hes on the linked account too i know that xp share stuff stops at 60. but when running my pally with my dk i was not getting much xp at all. i was running deadmines and pally kept dying he aggroed all the mobs.

i thought because the dk was 77 it might go fast

try not attacking with your pally, leave him at the door, go kill like 30 mobs, then catch up with the pally, then go kill 30 mobs, then catch up on your pally, the low level doesnt need to attack as long as your partied up

yeah the last time i had ran deadmines i used my 55 hunter. i left pally at the door and worked in little by little. still died 3 times thing is pally wasnt getting much xp with the 55 hunter. i think the most he got was 59 on the bosses

in deadmines reason i died the pat of mages usualy get me. the ones that regen and roam around

ahhh yer, theyre annoying, i always had a friend with me so i put my toons following him so he could move away and scream at me down ventrilo if he needed help.

lol i had aunt go with me last run with her druid but it cut xp down to 4. only got bout half way through a level. but ill get there eventiualy im going to set up a team with my mage and pally. to go attack hordies hehe. once i get them to level 80 and decked out

so i guess with my 77 main a run into deadmines shuld take twice to level? thats whats been going on anyway i usualy get half or close to half. a level when i run through there atleast thats whats been happening for me.
