| Senior Member | ( Jump to the bottom of this if you don't want my history. )So when I started multiboxing, I moved over to Blackrock since all I had was a level 55 priest and level 63 paladin on my current server. (Side note: I played WoW originally when it first launched for about 1.5 years, then quit. Now I'm back.) Being that I have no other characters on this server to feed me cash, paying for anything has been a struggle. Currently, my only means of income is to sell my greens on the AH (which of course can be slow). I've been pretty picky (due to bag space) to not pick up gray items. I suppose as I get higher, I'll find more valueable loot and cash will come a bit more frequently. I've managed to get enough cash to pay for my first mount (thank you Blizzard for reducing those costs) on all 5 of my characters. We're all at level 28 (as of this post) and just barely had enough cash to get all our skills and pay for repair costs. Next time I'm on, I'll probably be heading over to Scarlet Monastery: Graveyard for more leveling. Long story short, what are you setting as your priorities when you play your multiboxing groups?

| I don't have money problems because I have lots of chars in the main realm I use to play but I have my priorities that I've been adjusting since the first day I began to multibox. In your case I think you should focus on leveling BUT keeping your gathering professions adequate to the zone you're in (VERY IMPORTANT). If it means back to Westfall to skin or get herbs (...), do it now! All my teams have skinner, herbalist, miner (and some, enchanter). I have 2 bankers with big bags and lots of space: I send stuff to sell to one of them and things I'll may need to professions or anything I think it should be preserved for some reason to the other. About money. As an example, I can tell you I'm making 500G/day JUST with stuff from Wailing Caverns (greenies/bluish/leather/copper). I've been there to gear up my TWINK19 team. So, don't spend money buying items for your team - they will drop for you sooner or later. Just don't hang around with your level 60 toons with level 15 items ![]() So ordering priorities and 'if I was you': 1. Leveling (get items while you're leveling = better equip + money from sells) 2. Resource gathering (good money from sells) 3. Improving our mb playing skills. Adjust macros, etc. When you're bored and don't feel like killing monsters and travelling, stay in town and play your professions (I do it one by one, one window, no stress, I hang around, listen to chat, scan AH, etc.). Because I have a lot of characters, I have a piece of paper where I keep note of what every toon need for its profession. I always know where to send mageweave, or netherweave, or adamantite, or whatever... All the team toons are on the same skill level on their professions. For example: I send everything to toon1 till he reaches Expert, then everything goes to toon2 till he reaches Expert, and so on. I do this with gathering aswell. Toon1 skins till we get next level, then toon2, etc. I hope that can help in any way ![]() /cheer

| Senior Member | If you reroll somewhere I strongly recommend rolling a DK for cash. Then take mining and herbalism. It might slow your overall progress down but anytime you need cash you have a cow to milk! At this point, as I'm leveling my 4th team, I go 0-58 ASAP. Do a round or HF quests to get me from level 17 gear to some level 58 gear (mainly for the stam). Then I instance level in Ramps, then Slave Pens, Then Mana Tombs to 65. Doing that gears my toons, gives me a ton of greens to sell or DE, and a ton of cloth to sell for cash. |

| #1 - Lvling No other prios. My team is only lvl50ish atm but is still running around in the starter gear you get when you are created. But then on the other hand I am boosting with a lvl80 main and can't see why I shud bother before I hit outlands atleast. Prolly later. |

The idea of 'a character is nothing till he reaches 80' makes me sick. 'Char Factory' vs 'Love to play'! Doing Deadmines with a level 19 team is as challenging as doing HOL with a 80 team. All of my teams are proper equiped and all my toons have maxed their professions for their level. They have their own life, if you know what I mean. They sell their craftings on the AH, they have their own money, etc. I still enjoy doing BRD or Scholo or Bottanica. I don't understand why reaching 80 must be the top priority. I've seen many lev 80 who don't have Rebel Camp or Desolace (or ...) flight points, with no achievs, no experience at all (i'm talking about the char, not the palyer), hanging around with level 10 gear following their godfather. Nah! These dudes don't impress me at all and I have no respect for such type of characters. I've completed RAFing a team to 60 in 4 days with all professions maxed and a lot of money in their pockets. I'm RAFing my 2nd one. And I'll RAF another 2 before RAF ends. So it's not a matter of time but, most likely, lazyness or just the 'I have a lev 80 main, so why bother' attitude... So, my point is. There's no waste of time to take care of individual improvment (other then leveling) of each toon. There are pros and cons. Let's just not assume that everybody think 'a character is nothing till he reaches 80' because that's a very narrow minded vision of the game. /TRoN

Well I don't agree. For me the challenge is 5boxing Heroics and up. Normal dungeons are just 2 ez and 2 boring, for example i 3manned both WC (@lvl18) and SM Lib (lvl33) singlehanded just to check macros etc but they still (as they have been since I started back in the early beta) are farking boring. I have killed EVERYTHING there is to kill in this game, I have done every quest there is to be done in this game, I have seen every farking spot there is in this game (yes I am sad but hell, we all have our burdens). So for me questing and doing anything beside 80 content is a waste. I multibox since ToC was a farking joke and multiboxing is the only challenge left while waiting for Icecrown. HOWEVER, if other ppl wanna go around and gear up their alts - fine by me. I don't judge ppl, I just gave my PoV. Proffesions is something i'll will fix @ 80 (Inscription and JC on em all) when I have a slow afternoon. I won't bother during the lvling since it slows me down. BUT, if ppl wanna do it their way. Go ahead, that seems nice. I bet you can surely make quite some golds while lvling 2 (if you need that) if you actually loot stuff. However, I rather blaze thru 5 heroics @ 80 and Dis that gear and sell the shards. But as I said before, thats my PoV. If you enjoy playing the game in some other fashion, knock yourself out. I don't pass judgement. As long as you have fun. And btw, "Char Factory vs Love to Play" .. thats just BS. I love to play, I just dont love to play like you do .. | Senior Member | The game begins at 80. If you don't believe me, ask the designers. I have level at total of 38 toons from 1-60. And 19 from 60-70. I don't need professions, I have it covered. I don't need gold, I got that too. I don't need to explore or enjoy the old content. I want to explore the new content I haven't seen. I can't do that while looking for Tin nodes in Westfall. The bottom line is that everyone can play how they want to play. We all pay basically the same subscription fees. I enjoy gearing toons up and my ultimate goal is to do Naxx, Uld, Ony etc. by myself. |

| it depends on how I feel that day/moment. If I see my professions lacking a bit or I feel something may help my team, I usually take the time and do it(lvling skinning/leatherworking as an example) for my hunter/druid. I usually have my 80 fund my alts, so no need to farm for gold and I been through most if not all the quests there is 1-70 so I just lvl through as much as I can a day. but in the end my priorities are going to differ then yours. so do what you have fun with or want to do |

![]() Like vlad said, every player has his own way of playing. And that's good! What isn't good at all is stating the game starts at 80. That elitist attitude are making a lot of players to quit the game... The new expansion brings a lot of new content and revamping on low level areas and characters progress. So I don't believe that Blizzard strategy is making game starting at 80 at all. Players reached 60, Blizz created 70, players reached 70, Blizz created 80, now they're creating 85 - seems more like level cap is the end not the beggining, imo. So, the alternative is to begin again with other characters, different races, classes, professions or factions... now, why the rush to be 80 again? (Because the answer to this question is the key to understand the person behind the toon...) Why? To farm heroics! Why? Money? To show off your epics? Why? The challenge? Well, I can eat that but don't tell me there is no challenge on low level content. If you pick a group of your level and run a instance of your level there will be challenge and wipes and stuff... Imo, the reason behind all this is: You cannot pwn heroics just because you're high level but you can pwn low level instances (or gank low level chars) because you're high level. And that upsets you because most of you want to rule and pwn everything.... That's the meaning of the game. Until there the game don't end because you're always expecting to win the game. But wow is a MMORPG, there's no winners but characters who make their living beeing what they want to do... Why people should rofl about a level 30 fisherman who is selling his fishes in the auction house for living and don't have fighting skills? Weird? Why? Shouldn't be heroic if this fisherman could reach level 80 beeing a fisherman? ![]() People thing they graduate when they reach 80. But that's a mistake. People graduate from the experience they get from life getting there... Just my point of view about what leveling means. Imo, leveling is a characters life!
