| I have posted this on other forums so I hope that is okay? Does anyone know of a leveling guide I can use for boxing. I know the standard... 1-10 Quest 10-20 DM 20-27 Stockades (I stay this long so I can use DF for Scarlet, otherwise its a LONG walk for alliance) 27-45 Scarlet 45-55 Stratholme 55-60 Ramparts, But I'm looking at making this more efficient. For example, all of the guides only say do this and pick up instance quests. Well, I haven't a clue where the isntance quests are or how to get them? Some of them like the Deadmins quests are on a long chain and its not so easy to get the starter quest (if I recall correctly..). So does anyone know a more practical guide? At the moment, I am level 38 and I get 50% per run through SM Cath which takes me about 22 minutes. I think think this is hideously slow. If I record a video would someone mind looking over it? To see how I could make it more efficient. I think the problem is that I am flat broke so I loot everything. I am boosting on a level 80 mage, but I only have 100G on that level 80 so all of the Silk Cloth and Greens are a must to be able to upgrade my skills. In SM Cath I park my guys at the bottom of the waterfall fountain. So I effectively have to move them twice. Looting is a pain, because It takes forever to loot? Is there anything which makes this quicker? I have installed XLoot but I don't know what it does. I find myself spamming click on the corpses and then mashing "J" which is my bind for Interact with Target. I think this is the best I can do right? Finally, what should I do for leveling after 60? Only BGs? |

| I'm boxing 5 so can't really get boosts in instances since they take up the whole party (tho i do sometimes use LFD to run my own). So I'm currently using Tourguide (in conjunction with TomTom and Lighthead) which is basically a list of quests in order and tells you exactly where to go and in what order to do it. It gets this information from whichever files are loaded into it. Someone has been cool enough to make some RAF/multiboxing specific files Alcattle Web Site - Downloads This 'profile' takes into account that you're multiboxing (so includes no item collection quests) and also takes into account you're leveling quickly (because of RAF) so only includes enough quests in each zone. It's working quite well so far. --------------- In reply to the stuff you've mentioned. In Cath don't waste time moving them up to the waterfall, they'll get experience from the very beginning where they zone in. The way I boost it is run thru without killing anything, open the doors, tag the boss then run to the waterfall - most of the top half will come to you and aoe them down, then go kill the bottom half after. Takes about 6 minutes. So that you don't hit your instances cap each hour, alternate it with Armory. In this one, leave them at the very beginning til you clear til the first set of stairs, then move them to there. They can stay there for the rest, just pull herod out of his room a little. | Thanks Paws, combined with answers in another thread I made I have got my Cath runs down to only 5 minutes in and out. How would you level post 60? I will be 60 by Friday (Making it 7 days of casual gameplay to get to 60). |

| Alcattle is a user on the other site, there are threads for the Tour Guide stuff there, including how to submit information to gradually improve the experience for everyone else too. If you're boosting in SM, I'd start in the graveyard, because you can take your toons here at 20th. Somewhere in the low 20's, do a run of the wing where you get the key from the chest; this one can be a bit annoying, as there are casters in long hallways, which because of the lack of line of sight won't be easy to pull into your AoE. Still, it's nice to have the key on each of your toons, so will be worth clearing once. Armory is a bit lower then Cathedral, so that's the next wing to do. It won't be more then a few runs of Armory, before your team is high enough for Cathedral too. With Armory, your toons need to move towards the end, if you care about the loot. With Cathedral, you can pull the entire instance to the zone in area and AoE there. You'll hit the instance reset cap, if you only run Cathedral. What I liked to do was Cathedral - Armory - Reset. Armor (since you're already here) - Cathedral - Reset. Then repeat; with two instances to clear, you go beyond 12 minutes per run, which means you can go indefinitely. It's worth staying till 45th, even though it seems to crawl at the end; there isn't another boosting instance that is decent in the lower 40's, so staying here will be as fast as anywhere else. If you care about /Played time, then do Cathedral only, reseting until you're locked out. Then /Camp your toons for 10-20 minutes, until the lock out goes away. Log them in, and do another 5 runs... |

| So I just tried to do Scholomance, instead of Stratholme. Ouch it is hard. I'm a cloth wearing mage... Spent an hour getting the key then I ran in killed the four on the bridge. Then jumped into the pit and started spamming AOE. I got two Arcane Explosions off before I died. Ouch. Thats a lesson learnt. I'm still getting 250k-400k XP an hour, but it does seem to be a lot harder for Cloth wearers here. Is Scholomance the place I want to be. I wish I had a Mage for 1-45, then a Pally to take over cause that would be a lot easier |

| Scholomance > Stratholme for boosting imo. Just time your jump so you don't aggro anything when you fall. |

| I have avoided that room all together. Its impossible for a cloth caster. The skeletons are immune to magic, and my Stave don't pack enough punch. |

| Depends Carbs, I can run Strath pretty fast whereas I dont know my way around Scholo at all. I guess practicing the latter could be beneficial. @Kalyse: Post 60 I'd probably just quest then run instances once I have quests for inside them. These are usually worth good xp and have decent rewards. On the topic of instances, I did LFD on my 5box crew and got purple mara and im scarred for life. If that isnt the worst bleeping instance of all time, i dont know what is. The demons gouged my tank which dropped all his threat so went after the dps. The imps rapidfire stacking poisonbolts / dots. If ya die its impossible to find the way back to the entrance. Ya go thru the whole maze just for one boss at the end. /Rage. |

| Senior Member | IMHO Mage - Stratholme Paladin - Scholomance I've done Scholomance many times with a mage, but it does get quite annoying having to pop out the trusty weapon and melee for a kill :P 55-62 = Ramps/Blood Furnace 62-66 = Underbog/Slave Pens 66-68 = Nagrand Quests 68 u can probably hop to northrend and plow thru the many quests. |

I don't kill any bosses in Scholo here is my track through if this is correct? Run past the four on the bridge and tag each with Living bomb, hen open door and run left down stairs then tag about 8 guys with living bomb. Take a beating for a few seconds then nova and blink away. Then I wait about 2 seconds and blizzard on top of them all killing them all. I heal up and then I run around the whole room tagging with living bomb, hitting everything. On about 50% HP (which is about half the room tagged with living bomb) I will then use mirror image and that takes all my aggro away. I continue to only spam living bomb on everything and also add a mana shield if neccessary. Then i move to the summoning room. No tricks are neccessary here. Just tag everything with living bomb and it dies. In the next room is where it gets a little harder to do it all in one pull. Now you want to save your ice block if possible for the welps room (my final room). Anyway, in the room after the summoners, I enter the entrance then turn around and start walking backwards tagging everything i can see with living bomb until I get stunned (whcih you do all the time). Then I turn and blink away and then start tagging more with living bomb just pulling the WHOLE room. Spam LB, LB, LB, LB on everyone, then nova (getting a big clump of mobs) which is really important else you will die and after the nova drop up mana shield and then evocation if neccessary. Then I just stamp living bomb and make sure mana shieldstay up. Pretty easy after you get the mana shield up. The final room is the welps, (I can't figure out how to go any futher in the dungeon). Any tips would be helpful?? I can use invisibility?... Anyway in the final room with the welps, guess what I do? Shockingly I use living bomb. Now is really really important that you either mirror image VERY EARLY or you frost nova very early, because you can find yourself in a situation where you don't tag enough welps and sorcerers with living bomb and then you go into ice block which pulls all the spell casters to you, only to find that you only kill about 4 guys and insta-die. So make sure that you tag about four guys with living bomb then frost nova followed by mirror image if you have it. Its not that neccessary though cause you can do it all with just a single nova which I do if you use your CD's in the previous room. After about 10-12 living bombs, thats enough to see the room die, so you hit ice block in the middle and then watch as everything dies. If I am feeling that I'm going to hit the time limit for instnaces I will do the room underneath with the boss, but I only do this for fun. I pull the entire room with the boss. This is the hardest pull to do, so if you aren't confident you should kill the boss with a guy first. If you know you are going downstairs you need to save Ice block since it is a MUST. If you want to take the whole room down, you need to pyroblast the boss and firestrike him, followed by insta- living bomb, then you MUST MUST get mana shield and mirror immage up instantly. If you don't get the mirror image up before he gets to you, then you should just kill him solo without pulling the room cause you will die. I then just run around the room pulling the guys futher away from the entrnce with living bomb and make sure you get them all. just after you tag them all, hit the boss again with living bomb and then ice block. Blink away and mana shield before the ice block though, since you may find that you need the mana shield up if you don't get a full wipe with the livingbombs. Anyway, if you manage to tag them all with living bombs you will almost definately be able to just ice block and kill everything. Thats how I do the run as a mage. I can't find how to go any futher? i don't think its possible? Any tips would be great. I've left scholo now and I did 55 - 59 in about 60 minutes in Ramparts. I was getting insance XP. Made the end levels really nice. I think I will keep my shamans at 59 now and use them as twinks while I level up the remaining guys. Sorry about the...
