Self Boosting

10 days left in the RAF bonus. Real life is getting in the way (a good thing), so my play time has been somewhat limited. However, I've been trying to self boost one final team through instances.

Well, last night, I figured out I was doing it all wrong (and my team was already level 20). *cry*

My RAF setup: Account 2/3/4/5 are all linked to Account 1. I have level 60 paladins and druids on all accounts.

Account 1 (level 60) + Account 2/3/4/5 (level 20) = EPIC FAIL
Account 2 (level 60) + Account 1/3/4/5 (level 20) = FTW!

With the fail method in SM:Graveyard, my RAF accounts get ~55-150xp per kill (non-elite/elite).
With the FTW! method in SM:Graveyard, my RAF accounts get ~250xp per kill (non-elite/elite).

Lesson learned: In order to get your RAF xp bonus, your main account (the one that toons are linked to) has to be the same (or near the same) level as all the other characters in the linked accounts.

Now the drawback is of course, Account 2 will have -1 character leveling at any time. I could rotate that account in, but it creates a whole lot of extra work (not to mention UI and keybinding configs).

I was really wondering why it took me 20+ runs through SFK to gain 8 levels. I really thought it was going to go much faster. Now I know why.

As a side note, the pallies I have on my 2/3/4/5 accounts are all RET spec'd. This means that they are more squishy compared to my Prot pally. However, they really do rip through mobs (have to pull in smaller packs). If I had the cash, I'd dual spec. Instead I may just respec to Prot to make me feel safer.
