Team Malaias describes his FTL Setup
Team Malaias was kind enough to share with out how he utilizes what is being known as Focusless, Targetless, Leaderless (FTL) set up for his 5 man multiboxed team.  His team  consists of 5 World of Warcraft characters of the following names and classes: Malaias – Druid Tank Malaia – Elemental Shaman Malaine – Elemental Shaman Malaiah – Elemental Shaman Malaena – Elemental Shaman The Theory The idea behind FTL (Focusless, targetless, leaderless) is to setup multiboxing in a way that you can transparently switch masters without having to change macros, play solo without worrying about the other characters and to not rely on focus or target for group actions. Click sequences and you – Multiboxing with efficiency
Ualaa has once again impressed us with an amazing multiboxing guide.  This time he covers a method that can often result is achieving an absolute maximum amount of DPS efficiency, while also allowing the ability to perform a few macro sequences which you are not able to do inside a single macro alone. Using Click for Multiple Castsequences Goal We want to create a master macro, which can be spammed very quickly. Based on our spam speed, we want it to call our damage dealing spells in the order we specify, and to have them recast at the best possible time. We want all this to be accomplished from spamming a single button.

Take from Boltwrench (below): (8) The Solution Solution, (9) Retest Now. Fly to Valley of Lost Hope (63,51) and from Skybreaker Squad Leader, initiate (10) Assault by Ground. Finish the escort, get the last few kills for Blood of the Chosen, then enter the mine (57,57) for Slaves to Saronite. Return to the Valley and turn in Assault by Ground. Heroic Gundrak – Multiboxed by Howster
Gundrak (also known as Gun’Drak) is the capital of the ice troll nation of Zul’Drak in eastern Northrend. The Drakkari tribe rule Zul’Drak from here, constantly battling the mighty forces of the Scourge. Our very own Howster multiboxes Gundrak and has created for us a quick two and a half minute video.  His team looks to be 5 multiboxed characters, 1x Paladin Protection Spec, 1x Druid Restoration Spec, 3x Shamans Elemetal Spec. His strategy for multiboxing this heroic looks very, very straightforward.  He simply stands still and uses the typical “tank and spank” strategy for all of the bosses.  For a Heroic instance in World of Warcraft, Gundrak is by far one of the most easy ones to do. A little history about this instance:  Gundrak is an instance which contains the final boss for the ice trolls. This instance will show the Ice Trolls in all their glory, and teach us why they have been so successful against the Scourge. WTB Flash Designer!
Just a heads up, our website is looking to hire somebody for a short time video/flash related project.  We have a $500 budget earmarked to a community member who has the right stuff to help us out in a little area.  We are looking for somebody who has specific knowledge of making small flash animation sequences using game footage, a slew of words, and can do video scene transitions.  In addition, you’d be somebody who can follow us around in-game and take some video footage of our work, or potentially use some pre-recorded video footage. Blizzard states Warcraft 4 is still years away
Ausgamers.com had a great article about Blizzard and the state of their games: Five years ago, Blizzard thought they were ready to launch their ground-breaking new game, the genre-defining World of Warcraft. They had twenty servers set up, with twenty more in reserve. The plan was, over the next year or so, to replace broken hardware and potentially start up new servers as needed – but that wasn’t something they’d have to worry about for a while. In conversation with J. Allen Brack, who is currently Director of Production for World of Warcraft, he reveals that Blizzard had much less time than they thought – setting up all twenty reserve servers “very early on the first day”. Even at launch, the game was far, far more popular than anybody could have imagined, causing the developer to frantically try to source server-class hardware to expand the available resources. Today, Brack explains that Blizzard have come a long way from their modest beginnings, writing and re-writing server code many times over. The company is now in a position where they’re implementing technology they once thought was impossible. One such impossible task, which has taken a year and a half to complete is the new looking for groups system to be implemented in the upcoming 3.3 patch. This “monstrous project” will see the introduction of cross-server instancing, enabling you to play with (or against) more people in your battle groups.
WoW Guild Leveling – Yup, it is coming in Cataclysm
This may be old news for some, but it happens to be the first time I’ve heard about it.  Blizzard released a couple videos about guild leveling for Cataclysm. Your guild will get experience for players earning rep, killing bosses, doing dailies, getting achievements, Arena and BG wins, crafting, leveling up, and more. The top 20 earners in the guild each week will have their contributions turned into XP. Previous contributions won’t factor into a particular week’s XP, so every member of the guild has the chance to be a top earner each week. Guild experience, once accrued at the end of each week, will be converted into guild currency, which can be used to buy a myriad of items, including reagents, tabards, pets, profession recipes, heirlooms, and Guild Talent points. Guild Talents will be things like a Mass Resurrection spell on a 30-minute cooldown, removal of reagents for buff spells, and increased gold drops in the world and instances. Guild leaders can respec guild talents, though the method and cost (if any) is currently unknown.
Multiboxing character formations
Ever wondered how those multiboxers make their characters automatically spread apart, forming those neat “formations” with smooth, robotic-like ease?  It just so happens that these precise individual character movements, known as formations, are actually just a clever use of WoW’s built-in movement keys, such as left strafing, right strafing, and moving forwards and backwards.  Once you understand how it works, it is actually very easy to set up. Hearthstone to… Tarren Mill?
The upcoming 3.3 is introducing Kirin Tor rings which have the ability to teleport your character back to Dalaran every 30 minutes. This means that, with the ring, you no longer have to tie your hearthstone to Lagaran, err I mean, Dalaran. 
Ualaa’s Recruit-A-Friend guide to multiboxing
You’ve heard about the Recruit-A-Friend program that Blizzard offers for World of Warcraft, right?  Well, do you also know that multiboxers have been using it to get level 300% faster from 1 – 60, as well as the ability to (over time) grant hundreds of free levels to your various characters? You can RAF (Refer a Friend) from your account management page, for your account, on the world of warcraft main page. I always suggest linking like this: A – B – C – D – E To form a chain like this, you would sent an RAF invite to yourself
Heroic Utgarde Keep – Multiboxed by Tim
Tim launched into Utgarde Keep head-first. Diving into the deep end sporting no UI. The sheer power of elemental shamans showed its full force keeping the tank alive and dishing out a world of hurt. With only a severe lack of skinning skill keeping him from taking full advantage of piles of dragon bodies, he made quick work of pull after pull. Eventually, the UI came back as the pulls started looking like two and three at a time. The first boss gave Tim little trouble as he wiped the floor with the Blood Prince. Unfortunately, the gear was as good as the fight was difficult, going only for a nice shard. The next pulls (arguably the easiest in the instance) went by as well as can be expected. Eventually it came to the point that the pull was dead before even getting to the tank. A show of how incredibly powerful shaman can be.
Blizzard explains some upcoming changes in 3.3
Blizzard is teasing us once again with reasonings behind balance changes, tank shortages, and general upcoming updates in 3.3 and Cataclysm. Kirin’ Tor Rings in 3.3 Item level 251 versions are currently planned for patch 3.3. I’m not sure what the cost to upgrade is but it will probably be similar to previous upgrades. We are only upgrading the existing ring types, not providing a new one, so that means no tank version. (Source) Tank Shortage The “shortage” is caused by a lot of people not wanting to tank or not spending the time to gear up and tank – and if they don’t want to gear up at all then they probably don’t want to tank anyway or maybe don’t want to spend the time learning it. I still think the new Dungeon System will help with this through the faster turnover rate and random heroic feature, but overall we can’t force people to play something they don’t want to play so there will likely always be a shortage of tanks or healers to some degree.
New devastating weapon in WoW – Mohawk Grenade
It seems that World of Warcraft has introduced a new massive weapon to fight off evil, the Mohawk Grenade.   How this will impact multiboxers in WoW still remains a mystery. Q. What is the Mohawk Grenade? A. The Mohawk Grenade is Mr. T’s latest invention: an in-game item that, when hurled at another character, gives everyone within the blast radius an instant T-riffic haircut. Don’t worry, you and your friends will look gooooood. Q. Where do I get it? A. Quit your jibber-jabber and claim your Mohawk Grenades from any of the Night Elf Mohawk NPCs camped outside every starting zone.
Our live HD video broadcast – smashing all records
Today we were recently featured on the front page of possibly the largest and most cutting edge live video streaming site in the world, Justin.tv.  Many of you guys know of our video stream of multiboxing that has been going on now for nearly 1/4 year.  But on Sunday, 11/15/09, nearly 30,000 more people found out about us. Today we hit our record today of over 1,700 live viewers at any given time, over the course of many hours, who watched us at first get owned hardcore in Eye of the Storm, to move into a position of complete ownership in Isle of Conquest.  From there, we moved towards some ToC

3.3 Notes: Battlegrounds give 25 arena points
In an interesting change of events which appear to be making Arena points more and more easily obtainable, daily battlegrounds now give 25 arena points per completion. The patch notes state this: All level 71-80 Battleground daily quests will now award 25 Arena points in addition to their current rewards. Later on, a Blizzard employee was seen lurking the forums and had this to say: I see you edited your original post, but I do just want to be clear that the original note was a mistake. 25 Arena points will be awarded for completing the Battleground daily quest available for players levels 71-80. My apologies for the confusion.
