10 Boxing WoW - Feedback Requested! | read this item
I am thinking about 10 boxing again. The last time I did this was when WOTLK first came out, and I rolled 10x Shaman, or 9x Shaman 1x Resto Druid.
Firstly, as you guys probably know, I love leveling a new team. In fact, it is probably my favorite thing to do in WoW overall. Running old school instances just reinvigorates the feeling of why I fell in love with this game.
So I am thinking of doing a 10x box team with a focus around AV and that 25 man Continue Reading

Just a quick note that I am going to be streaming some new teams with a new project goal: Lots of multiboxed characters! The stream will be starting TONIGHT @ 7pm CST (or earlier)!
This new team will be focused around a new concept I like to call multi-multiboxing. 2 people, multiboxing together, forming the 5 man group. With that said, I’d like to introduce Kevin aka Chamassa as we begin 2 new multiboxing teams.
5x Shaman (3x Tim, 2x Kevin)
3x Hunter (Tim) 2x Druid (Kevin)
We will be leveling these teams from 1 to 85, doing instances Continue Reading

Multiboxing Dire Maul Gordok Compound | read this item
Here is the final leg of the Dire Maul instance journey, Gordok Compound. As with the other recent videos done by Tim, this was features the 3x Hunter group, which really is tearing it up quiet nice.
We crushed this battleground, big time, so much so that we were at the very top of the charts at the end of this BG. We had a TON of fun. I’ve learned that being a heavy ranged class has enormous benefits, especially realized when you are hanging behind a wall of teammates who are tanking the damage for you.
WoW Multiboxing Eye of the Storm Level 46 on 3x BM Hunters | read this item
Here is another PVP video of multiboxing 3x Hunters. We obliterated this battleground pretty hard core. One of the major pros to doing this BG was that the action was always really close to where your spawn point is at. You never really had to run far before being able to punt some more Alliance Gnomes.
Multiboxing Instance: Razorfen Downs | read this item
At level 42 we did Razorfen Downs (RFD) on the 3x Beastmastery Hunters. We obliterated this really well. One of the most fun parts of this instance was being able to do very large elite mob pulls, often doing 3+ groups at once. The gear drops for hunters was pretty good.
Video (47 minutes) of Multiboxing Scholomance Instance @ Level 41 3x Hunters | read this item
This video is of the 3x Hunter multiboxing team of Tims and we used the LFD system to que and ended up in Scholomance.
The hunters are 41, BM spec, and have 3 dps/pvp pets (wolf, fox, dog) and 3 tank pets (bears). We tore through this place pretty hard core. The only big difficulty was on those undead mobs who, upon death, get back up and start walking towards you and then explode. All in all, the instance was a breeze. Enjoy the Continue Reading

Video Multiboxing Cataclysm Dire Maul Capital Gardens 3x Hunters | read this item
This instance we did Dire Maul – Capital Gardens on our 3x Hunters. Today we decided to go the BM spec route and holy crap, we pwned the hell out of this place. My favorite part is how we dinged at the end. Also, thanks to the live JTV chat to helping me with a little direction on where to go. It has been a long time since I ran DM. Enjoy the video!
The 3x Hunter team by Tim is back! This time we played around on the 3x Hunters with Arathi Basin. This BG has a high bracket I believe of 49, while we are 46. This means we are pretty underleveled for this BG. However….
… we obliterated it, hard core.
Here is the 1080p video below, have fun watching it!
Multiboxing Dire Maul - 46 minutes of awesomeness | read this item
In this video the 3x Multiboxers of Tim hit up Dire Maul. DM (yes, DM, not deadmines, that is VC) is one of my favorite instances. The instance is really large, however, you don’t feel like time is wasted. The bosses are pretty meh, but the swirling environment is pretty fun. Plus there is a room with a big giant tree that kicks doors down which is pretty boss.
One multiboxing note for this instance is to be careful for all the stairs and twisty tunnels. The biggest enemy of a multiboxer is the environment (stairs, doors, etc) as you can often get stuck.
Watch how we pwn it up in this 46 minute long youtube video in High Def 1080/720!! Continue Reading

Multiboxing Instances: Maradon Earth Song Falls by 3x Hunters | read this item
This video we finally got to show our…arrows right into the fat princess of Maradon. Speaking of which, who is her mother and father?
Anyway, we obliterated this instance and had fun with our pets tanking some pretty high DPS mobs for the first time. Midway through the video you will see us tanking 2x of those rock giants, not to mention killing Rotgrip, all by ourselves.
Multiboxing Video: SM Armory 3x Hunters | read this item
In this video we were multiboxing SM Armory on the 3x Hunter team. We blew through this instances in under 15 minutes, and we probably could have done it in half of the time.
One of the keys to doing this instances, for us, was to group up large numbers of elites, then spam multishot several times, and feign death if we ever had aggro. This video is in full HD including 720p and 1080p. Continue Reading

Tim's new multiboxing team: 3x Priests | read this item
I’ve gone ahead and finally created a new multiboxing team in Cataclysm, on a new server, and will be streaming the entire leveling process, all the way to 85!
Some details:
Server: US-Lothar (Horde) PVE Guild: (to be determined) My Main: Gobtima (Priest) My Alt: Gobtim (level 85 Mage)
The new team I am building is 3x Priests. I plan on leveling as Shadow, with dual-spec to Disc. I’m very excited to see how well 3x Vampiric heals do in LFD instances!
I will be creating a guild that will server not only as an awesome guild for multiboxers, but also as a support tool for people who want to multibox themselves, who have questions, and overall need guidance. Guild chat will be there to help.
I plan on streaming this character all the time, and eventually will post a schedule. For now, the stream will be live @ 8am CST February 24thContinue Reading

Janus multiboxes Blackrock Caverns (normal) | read this item
Our very own Janus created an amazing video of multiboxing Blackrock Caverns. A quote from the man himself:
So I decided to see how far my Wrath-equipped, level 80 team could make it in Blackrock Caverns. I had started leveling in Mount Hyjal and ran across the NPC that grants entrance to the instance. I hopped into the teleporter and found myself in Blackrock Caverns.
Per Janus, below is a general breakdown of the encounters and my team composition. It is not the cleanest execution, as I was shooting this “as is”, with no to little preparation, and all these encounters were completely new to me
Speedracing 1-85 Goblin - Help Tim Pick The Class! | read this item
Upon the release of Cataclysm, I (Tim) am going to be racing a single character, a goblin, from level 1 to level 85, as fast as I can. I will be doing this for approx. 12-16 hours a day, every day, until 85, 100% streamed on JTV. I literally will be powering as FAST as I can, following the details of a leveling strategy I built in advance to race things as fast as possible.
I will be leveling this on a PVE server so PVP doesn’t interrupt me as I will be making a video of the entire process. Then I intend to server transfer it to Blackrock. Also, I expect this race of leveling to take a week or so with 7 days in a row, 12-16hrs a day.
So the question is: Which class should I race to 85?
Please vote on which class I should pick in this thread.
Pwnboxer Development Live Chat 11-20-10 @ 10am CST | read this item
For the first time we are going to do a general Pwnboxer Q+A to get everybody involved on where Pwnboxer is at in general, as well as some ideas you might have, or requests, for features.
Bring any suggestions you have, bugs you encounter, and general thoughts about Pwnboxer to the stream. No matter how crazy your idea is, I’d love to hear it.
The reason for this chat is that Pwnboxer, to me personally, has reached a state where I find it absolutely perfect for my every day multiboxing needs. However, I just one person out of many, and Pwnboxer really is about the general multiboxing community as a whole, so having YOUR feedback on how Pwnboxer is for you is of utmost importance.
Some possible idea subjects:
New ways of doing mouse broadcasting?
New ways of managing key broadcasting?
Non-multiboxing features (Eg, the Google ping it has now)
Video streaming built-in?
Social/community ideas?
Everybody is welcome, including those who use Pwnboxer, those who do not, and everybody in between.

Team Howster - Multiboxing ICC Marrowgar | read this item
Howster is back with another video, this time tackling the yet-to-be multiboxing elusive Icecrown Citadel. Our first video covers Marrowgar!
A quote on his strategy for multiboxing ICC Marrowgar:
All dps and healers gets behind marrowgar and dps/heal like they should.. If they are too far back they get hit by the fire on the ground, so just a little closer than that. Once a while Marrowgar will target a random raid memeber and cast a bonespike on him. When he did this I target that bone spike with a macro and kill it.
After a while he starts to whirlwind on random raid members, meanwhile he also cast this fire things on the ground (in this video i tried to avoid the fire, but we found it easier to just stand still and just heal through it. I use my 3 shamans to chain heal when this happens and my druid healing the way he should). After the whirlwind its back to start with the bone spikes again..
Looking for a US Multiboxing guild? Look no further! | read this item
We’ve all seen it asked before:
“Awesome Rogue level 45, looking for guild that is interested in leveling, raiding, PVP, and Multiboxing”
Wait… a Multiboxing guild?
If you haven’t heard already, Blackrock (US – Horde) has a guild <BUT MOM IM MULTIBOXING> which is very active and very much a Multiboxing friendly guild (and solo play friendly of course)! The guild has been around for around a year and has seen literally hundreds of multiboxers, brand new to the whole scene, start new teams, ask questions, and learn everything there is to know.
Right now the guild has dozens of Druids logged in often at any time, lots of Shamans, Mages, Priests, Hunters, you name it. As of writing this post there are 21 Druids across 5 teams logged in right now.
To sum it up:
Server: Blackrock
Faction: Horde
Guild Leader: Timboxa
Multiboxing Friendly?: YES!
Soloplay Friendly?: YES!
How to apply?: Just send Timboxa a PM in-game, or PM Lsta, or Pawslavea, or Byriaan, or Stompera. Any multiboxer is welcome to join. Just create (or transfer) your team and say hello in a PM. Alternatively you can do a “/who but mom im” and ask a few people for a ginvite!
Note: The guild has a guild bank that allows a new multiboxer the ability to withdraw some funds to help start their new team

Video: Ebony multiboxing Alterac Valley 5x Warlocks | read this item
Our very own Ebony has released an amazing video of what it is like to Pwn Alterac Valley with 5x Warlocks. She said that some of the wins are giving her 100,000 XP and primarily is being used as a method to level up to 70 and beyond.
The strategy looks to be ginormously fun. I’ll summarize it for you:
Step #1 - Run towards enemy
Step #2 - Apply 592 million DOTs
Step #3 - Run towards next enemy
Note: In the event you should run into a large number of enemies, simply bust out 5 Infernals, and dominate them all.

The goal is to create a 5 man druid team and roll them all the way into Cataclysm and have a blast.
The team should be great at PVE w/heroics with 1x Druid tanking, and 4x Druids DPSing/Healing.
The team should also be a blast at Battlegrounds/PVP due to massive amounts of starfire/moonfires/STARFALL and overall sneaking up on people in kitty form stealth and going boom boom on them.
A note: My first level 80 team was in fact boomkins, and my first team I created while developing Pwnboxer was actually a level 70 team (BC) of Boomkins. Overall they have always been my favorite to play so I’m really looking forward to this!

StarCraft II Beta -- Patch 13 INC! | read this item
There have been many new additions to Patch 13 including the map publishing feature, but as with previous Situation Reports, we wanted to take some time to go into some of the balance changes in particular and explain a bit more about them.
In this patch we are looking to address several balance issues that the community has discovered over the last few weeks. We are also addressing some of the zerg units and abilities that don’t see a lot of use in competitive games. These changes are big enough that we think it’s likely there will be further balance changes to these units as we learn more about how they are playing in the game.
Sentry Force Fields – Force Fields can now be destroyed by Massive ground units walking over them. Continue Reading

Video! 5x Hunters Vs. 5 man content: Deadmines | read this item
Solomani is at it again with another multiboxing Hunter video, this time he is multiboxing Deadmines. He has this to say about his team:
All 5x Hunters. No healers. Comments list any issues I had in the run. Will hopefully get ST up this weekend.
5x BM. Builds are similar but not identical. I found talents I normally wouldn’t take or find useful solo are worthwhile for 5x hunter (like the improved heal and any party booster talent). I toyed with the idea of mixing BM and Marks but it would just reduce efficiency too much IMO.
Video! 5x Hunters Vs. 5 man content: Wailing Caverns | read this item
Solomani, one of our forum posts here on the Multiboxing Forums, has been creating some fantastic videos of his journey through World of Warcraft multiboxing Hunters!
Solomani said, “One thing to note I haven’t bought *anything* with these guys. All their kit are from drops or quests. That’s another part of my personal challenge – to resist pimping them out. The only thing I buy is food for the pets, repairs, ammo and the mounts.”
Here is a video of Wailing Caverns being multiboxed by 5 Hunters.
Beginning Wednesday, April 7 we will begin releasing class previews containing an overview of some of the changes currently being planned for each of the 10 World of Warcraft classes. The type of information you can expect from these posts are a list of the new spells from 80-85, the new passive mastery bonuses for all talent trees, a brief outline of some of the talent changes we’re currently planning, and in some cases new low level spells for select classes.
These changes will by no means be comprehensive, and are subject to change between now and the launch of the expansion. It’s also important to understand that some classes are currently further along in the development process than others, and as a result the amount of information will vary from class to class. Please do not let this frustrate you should your class be amongst those which are on the “lighter” side of things, as all classes will receive the same level of design attention before the expansion is released. Additionally we’ll be providing more information for all classes, especially as we move into the beta phase. Continue Reading

Intel i7-980X Reviewed: Live video of Tim unboxing and setting up the I7-980X CPU! | read this item
For your PC nuts out there, today we will be doing a special live video review of the newest, absolutely most monsterous gaming CPU on the market today: The Intel I7-980X CPU. This processor is the highest end desktop CPU that money can buy. With 6 CPU cores, with a standard 3.3GHZ clockspeed, and fully overclockable, this CPU will melt your heart.
How will this CPU fare for multiboxing? Our guess is that you could run 40+ World of Warcrafts on a single PC using this processor.
Previously Tim (the founder of this site as well as the owner of the Pwnboxer multiboxing software) was using the voraciously fast i7 975 Extreme Edition as his gaming CPU. Don’t get us wrong, that processor is a beast. However, if the 975EE is a beast, than the 980X is a solar system. Yes, it is all that and a bag of black holes!
Tonight at approx. 4pm CST, Tim will be streaming live then full unboxing of this i7-980X CPU and will be installing it into his gaming system. You can watch this stream live here: Justin.tv/MultiboxingContinue Reading

Tim has a new team of multiboxed World of Warcraft characters: 4x Priests (Discipline) 1x Pally (Protection)
The goal of this team is to do absolutely insane AOE damage in instance pulls while staying relatively unscathed. Individually, a Priest using Holy Nova to DPS in an instanced would typically be laughed at while the other players click confirmation on the group kick option. However, when four Priests are multiboxed together with a Protection Paladin, the end result is nothing less than amazing.

Blizzard's Eyonix reviews the upcoming "Mastery" system | read this item
Last week, we gave you an early look at the changes we’re making to the stat system in World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, and explained how these changes will ultimately provide players with more interesting gear choices and make stats easier to understand. Today we’d like to go into more detail about a brand-new feature that’s an integral part of this overhaul: the Mastery system, a set of new game mechanics designed to allow players to become better at what makes their chosen talent tree cool or unique. With this system, we want to accomplish three things: give players more freedom in how they allocate talent points, simplify some of the “kitchen sinky” talents that try to do too much at once, and add a new stat to high-level gear that makes you better at your chosen role. As many of you know from panels at last year’s BlizzCon and posts here on the forums since then, Cataclysm will bring about major changes to familiar character stats such as Intellect, Armor Penetration, Defense, and others, ultimately designed to make the effects of stats more easily understandable and make gear choices more interesting. As these changes will have a significant impact on how stats work and relate to one another, today we wanted to offer you a closer look at exactly what’s in store and explain some of the rationale before Cataclysm arrives.
The most obvious question these changes raise is “Why are stats being changed, and why now?” As the game has matured, we’ve run into increasingly complex issues with the current stat system. Many stats are inherently confusing, and the way they interrelate can feel convoluted. Attack Power, for example, currently translates to damage, but so does Armor Penetration. Defense provides five different statistical benefits of varying utility. Mana regeneration involves understanding multiple stats and rules and often ends up being irrelevant anyway. In addition, the difference between a “good stat” for a class and a “bad stat” can be extreme. Some casters want Haste but not Crit; hunters want Armor Penetration but not Haste. There are other overarching issues, as well, such as Intellect not being very exciting for casters despite it being a core stat — and these are just a few examples. Continue Reading

Ualaa and his Amazing Alchemy Guide | read this item
Ualaa’s Alchemy
(Transmute Guide)
Introduction
While we can take a single toon and fly about gathering mineral or herbs, the same as any other one-boxer… and possibly even have a few toons doing the same at one time, switching between them. This is not really that much more efficient a means to make gold then we could do as single boxers.
Dailies are a decent method to compound our extra characters into more gold then a one-boxer makes, from doing the same thing as one character. It requires a route which is based off of either kills or drops where each toon can loot from every corpse.
